Together with my team, I work to guarantee the highest standards in the field of health and safety, the environment, and quality.
With a strong background in quality management and workforce development, I understand the importance of a safe working environment and a strong corporate culture. Every morning around 7:00 we are here, and then we talk to each other about what may have happened after 16:30 the day before. We also discuss any special features and/or points of attention of that day. At 7:30 each mechanic goes to “his” department for a short lean board session with the relevant group leader and production staff.
After this we make a control round through the department, this takes about half an hour. We continue with our usual activities, such as improving machines, revising and repairing parts. In between we solve malfunctions. Our activities vary from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
We are a compact and friendly team of mechanics and we are always prepared to support each other and think along with each other when solving malfunctions.

As HR Manager at Janus Vaten BV, I focus on attracting, retaining and developing talent within our organization on a daily basis.
My focus is on the evolution of our corporate culture, which is characterized by a strong family-run business atmosphere and employee engagement.
The long tenures within the organization are a testament to the confidence employees have in us and to the stability we offer.
I work closely with the directorate team and the various managers to create a working environment in which we hire new talent and give employees the scope to develop themselves and contribute to the success of the company. The development of optimal teams is a primary focus, with my tasks varying between operational, tactical and strategic HR levels.

A typical working day at Janus Vaten starts at 07:30 and ends at 16:30. We start the day with a start-up meeting. Here we discuss the orders of the day, safety, efficient working and the important events of the day before.
The day is divided into four blocks with time for a coffee or lunch break between these blocks. Sometimes overtime has to be worked, you indicate in the morning whether you are available for this. During the breaks you can enjoy a game of table football against a colleague in the canteen. The activities differ per hall, based on our skill matrix the activities are alternated so that you perform various activities during the day. This keeps the work varied, of course you also have a partial say in the activities you perform.
