To optimise the life cycle of packaging, the team at Janus Vaten is involved in the entire process from design, testing, and optimising to the final production of industrial steel packaging. Each day, hundreds of new steel drums roll off the production line. They are available in various sizes, fully customised.
Reconditioning
We are committed to the sustainable use of raw materials. The reuse of packaging is an important and necessary part of this mission. We use proven techniques and special machines to produce high-quality reconditioned drums. Janus Vaten has a separate department (FSSC 22000 certified) that specialises in the reconditioning of steel drums for the fruit juice industry.
Recycling
To complete the circle, packaging should be recycled sustainably at the end of its life cycle, to turn the raw materials into new industrial packaging. This applies to both steel and plastic packaging. During this time of increasing debate about plastic waste, the idea was developed to produce high-quality post-consumer resin (PCR) plastic packaging. This is a great development that helps reduce CO2 emissions, among other things.
