Are you an auto mechanic 2, 1 or a competent MOT inspector eager to work in an independent garage with a team that is responsible for 150 trailers and 150 swap bodies for family-run company Janus Vaten BV?

What does the role look like?
You will work in the independent garage (Janus Trailer Service) at a separate location from Janus Vaten BV. You will be part of a compact team that can be seen as a mini-business in itself. You will have the opportunity to undertake maintenance on swap bodies, trailers, and semi-trailers under the management of Janus Vaten. If you are skilled as an MOT inspector, you will also be responsible for the prompt inspection of our logistics equipment. As you would expect, the activities in the garage are extremely varied, and you’ll find that no two days are the same. You will work independently, but you should be equally comfortable in a small team of fellow mechanics. At the end of the day, you will report to the group leader in the garage.

What we expect

  • You can work at the level of intermediate vocational education (Dutch MBO diploma or equivalent).
  • Ideally in possession of a CE driving licence.
  • You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You will be proactive with a flexible approach.
  • You will have affinity with swap bodies, trailers, and semi-trailers.
